What what!

So I rang in the new year with a slow start. No work for a few weeks, but this past weekend got to be on a music video shoot for Vandaveer. We shot it in different music venues, Southpaw in Brooklyn, NY and Johnny Brendas in Fishtown, PA. We also went around Red Hook in Brooklyn and did some cool traveling shots, can't wait for it to come out. I'll post up a link of the video here so you can see.

We're doing their next video this coming weekend and it's supposed to be crazy, as in being out in the cold weather for 10 hours a day crazy. On a side note, the band is great. It's a duo, a singer-guitarist and another singer. They are kind of folky and bluesy. They remind me of that couple in the film Once.

A couple of things...

Here are some interesting things from my friends:

Duo Rock Rappers Shogo & Boris make up the group Danger Geeks (Music) They're from New York City and their songs are a mix of hip hop, hard rock and electronic. Their song 'The Forgotten' is a dark and beautiful contemplation of what the group's concerns.

A friend of mine, Dennis Natal of Electric Chariot entered a remix contest for Canadian rock band 'Metric' for their song 'Gold Guns Girls', you can check it out here.

Here's a photo of the Divine Lorraine, an old building in Philadelphia. I took this on the way home from a short film shoot. If you look carefully, you can see the moon just on top of the building. (Click on photo to view large)

This was taken in the morning in a car I was riding, on a way to a short film shoot in Philadelphia. I took this on my half-frame camera Fujica. I love how the light is hitting the cars and it's still a little dark.
